Really.
If I am not wrong, I started liking them after their music video But It Is Better If You Do.
So, of course it is only natural to go to their concert right?
I mean, great music, Brendon Urie, what is there not to like?
At about 6, I arrived.
Apparently, many other people like me, wanting to stand right in front of PATD, came early. They were all sitting on the floor outside the stadium, waiting for the doors to be open and finally at about 6 30 perhaps? The doors OPEN. One step closer to PATD.
The concert starts at 8. And we, Klothie, Gabriel, Melanie and my beloved sister were all there at 6 45. Plus the fact we bought the free standing tickets which makes us unable to sit, we stood and wait. and wait. and wait.
Right before PATD came out, Pop Shuvit entertained us.They sang around 5 songs for us. But i gotta admit, the songs weren't that bad. I guess this teaches us not to underestimate our own local bands as well.
Finally. At 8 15. PATD came out.
All the waiting and standing and maybe a little complaining we have been doing for the past one and a half hours were worth it. It was as if we totally forgotten those one and a half hours, it was as if it had been deleted, gone, vanish. Yes, The sight of PATD was actually strong enough to do this to me.
The whole crowd went crazy. They started the whole concert with the song we're so starving. Which I think is really suitable given that the lyrics contains words like
.. Oh how it has been so long...
... We were sorry we've been gone...
....but we were busy writing songs for you....
PATD were great. They sang almost every single song in their 2nd album and a few from their first album. But when they sang I Write Sins Not Tragedies. That. That was when the crowd went wild. Camera put down. And just dance and sing along through out the whole entire song.
There were some die hard fans who knew the lyrics to EVERY SINGLE SONG. They were singing along to all the songs and I was just wondering in awe. It was as if they listen to their album every single day until they knew it inside out. WOW. Maybe I should be as prepared as them when I go to their next concert. If they are coming again.
Well, with a crowd like that,(the whole stadium, only 35% to 40% turn up? This proves they do not have good sponsors. Someone should recommend hotlink as a sponsor to them. I mean, when hotlink sponsored Gwen Stefani, 99% of the stadium was full. And I am not suprised if it happens again for Avril. After all, hotlink IS sponsoring Avril's concert.
Despite the poor turn out, PATD still gave us a rocking concert. They were not at all bothered by the fact that so few people turn out. Even if they were, they did not show it at all. Such true professionals.
Last but definitely not least, Brendon Urie. How can I possibly end this post without mentioning him? Brendon, as usual, looks smoking hot. Wearing just a collar long sleeve shirt and jeans, with hair as if he just got out of bed, it was a sight that will just leave you drooling. Ryan Ross also looked not too bad wearing a vest, looking very smart. But I always have a thing for Brendon Urie instead. Sadly, I couldn't really see Jon and Spencer that well so therefore, I do not have any close up photos on them .=(
So now here I am, still full of PATD fever, sitting on the chair with the laptop on my lap typing this, listening to That Green Gentleman, Letting Brendon Urie's oh so sexy voice serenade me. Ah, this is the life.
Here are a few pictures for you guys to enjoy and maybe envy too. =D
I LOVE PANIC!AT THE DISCO.
Brendon Urie =)
Brendon Urie. Again.
Ryan Ross
